Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team, specializing in Membership Assistance and Financial Services. This role involves assisting clients with various aspects of their membership, offering exceptional customer service, and providing guidance on financial reports, bookkeeping, and tax processes. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a strong attention to detail, capable of managing client relationships and facilitating their success through comprehensive support.

Job Responsibilities:

Membership Assistance:

  • Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries, addressing phone calls and emails promptly and professionally.
  • Onboarding: Guide new clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into our services.
  • Free Trial Support: Assist clients during their free trial period, addressing questions and fostering client engagement.
  • Cancellations: Handle cancellation requests, understanding reasons for cancellation and striving to retain clients whenever possible.
  • Review Requests: Proactively request and encourage client reviews, contributing to our reputation and client feedback loop.

Bookkeeping & Process:

  • Document Management: Receive financial documents from clients and ensure their completeness and accuracy.
  • Data Entry: Enter financial data accurately into our systems, maintaining a high level of data integrity.
  • Workdrive Organization: Organize and manage the document storage system for easy retrieval and secure archiving.
  • Transaction Resolution: Resolve unclassified transactions by collaborating with clients to determine appropriate categorization.
  • Classification of Transactions: Utilize bookkeeping software to classify transactions accurately, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Scheduling and Conducting Reviews: Schedule and conduct comprehensive financial report reviews with clients. Explain the significance of the reports and educate clients on financial report procedures, empowering them to interpret and utilize the information effectively.

Tax Process Support:

  • Client Education: Educate clients on tax processes, ensuring they understand key deadlines, requirements, and procedures.
  • Tax Return Updates: Keep clients informed about the status of their tax returns, addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  • 1099 and W3 Tie Downs: Facilitate the accurate reconciliation of 1099 forms and W3 forms, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Extensions: Assist clients in filing extensions when necessary, guiding them through the process and ensuring timely submission.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
