Job Description:

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Community Benefit, the Manager, Strategic Reporting, Community Health, works with cross-functional teams to develop reports and other communications to meet regulatory requirements and develop strategic internal and external support for Intermountain’s Community Health initiatives and investments.

Job duties include:

1. Manages major regulatory and strategic reports and communications with the Intermountain Community Health team such as: county board of equalization reports, state hospital community benefit accountability reports, IRS reporting schedule narratives, internal metrics and performance reports, and presentations and other documents for key internal and external stakeholder communication.

2. Work with Marketing and Communications teams to coordinate general Community Health storytelling for internal and external audiences to support strategy and build brand, reputation, and awareness.

3. Manages strategic reports and communications with the Intermountain Community Care Foundation board, management, and staff, such as marketing/promotional materials related to sourcing, communication, and reporting.

4. Manages key sub-function(s) within the Community Health team and utilizes leadership competencies including building strategic work relationships, being customer focused, managing projects, financial acumen, planning and organizing, and anticipating needs.

5. Supports the Community Health leaders in their roles as Community Health liaisons and counselors to senior Intermountain leaders, including identifying emerging regulatory and community relations issues and preparing the organization's response.

This position will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours. There may be some travel or evening/weekend work, but rarely. Incumbent can be located anywhere, preferably in a community that we serve, and can be remote, hybrid, or in-person depending on preference.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, English, business or a related college major involving communications skills and critical thinking. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Three years of experience in communications, public health, government relations, grants management, or public relations.
  • Significant expertise in the areas of writing, editing, information gathering, and presentation development
  • Demonstrated understanding of hospital community benefit requirements and industry guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a communications or community health role within public health, nonprofit, healthcare or health insurance industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills, synthesizing information from diverse sources and using data to tell nuanced stories to internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent communicator, both in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to operate effectively within cross-functional teams.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$36.21 - $64.33
